Great news for guys coming to my wedding! The berkat for guys are confirmed (err, as what I've leaked out to Aisah). And special thanks to my aunt, Cik Jijah, who's willing to sponsor for the berkat! Thank you so much Cik!!
Berkats for children are already confirmed as well. For that one, I'm not particularly worried cos the whole cost will be less than $50 and targeted number of berkats is about 100.
I've recalculated the budget for my whole wedding and *gulp*, i think it will cost probably $20,000 more or less. So people who are getting married, make sure you have that amount in your bank alrite? ;)

Ok some updates on what has been happening the last few days.
Sunday, 20th August 2006Went to Johor Bahru with Tunang to book for our studio package. We chose the bridal shop in Angsana. I think it's called Exclusive or something like that (I may have mentioned it in my earlier post).
Why Exclusive?Firstly, the price is quite reasonable for the amount of things we will be receiving. Secondly, the person is very professional in explaining all the things. Thirdly, the album we will be receiving will contain metallic pages, something which is not yet introduced by the local bridal here.
When's the schedule?Tentatively, the 5th of December. :)
Monday, 21st August 2006Went to MasBoutique's studio at Tampines to look at outfits. Initially was for the trial make-up but that didn't happen cos of their tight schedule. So, 5 outfits have been chosen. 3 for the
malam berinai and 2 for Saturday. All 3 outfits for Friday night has a traditional touch and for Saturday, it's one traditional outfit and 1 gown. Sunday's outfits are still KIV cos we have to suit it with the deco colours at Tunang's side.
The last update is on my wedding favours. Apparently, my parents want to have different berkats for female, male and children. And I'm glad to say I have settled the female berkats! Yey! But of course I can't say it now. You'll just have to wait for the day to find out! Hee.
Till my next update then!

Went to ROMM to register our marriage this morning. Tunang fetched my parents and me at 9.30am. We reached ROMM around 10am. There was only another couple before us so waiting wasn't so bad. I knew there was going to be an interview session. I totally suck at meeting people. Haha! I actually got nervous to meet the Kadi. But it went fine. First, Tunang went in to verify his particulars. Then it was my turn and finally, Dad went in.
We finished the whole process within the hour and then headed for breakfast at Komala Villas at Tekka. All of us had Masala Dosai. Not too bad. :)
Tunang went off after that cos I insisted so. He just came back from morning shift and I gather he's very tired. So, I took 65 to get to work.
It was quite an uncomfortable journey. I was at te bus stop and looking around when I spotted this man looking my way. I dismissed it as I thought he was just observing people. 65 came and I took the bus. I sat at the upper deck cos it was going to be quite a long journey.
The upper deck was 80%
empty and I felt someone sit beside me. I glanced to my left and saw the man from the bus stop. I started getting uneasy. I mean here we have the bus half-full and you choose to sit beside me? I didn't actually shift seats cos I didn't want to make it very obvious that I was disturbed. We sat at quite a distance initially but after a few bus stops, he inched his way closer to me. I couldn't take it any longer so I stood up, muttered an "Excuse me" and went to the lower deck. He appeared to be sleeping when I stood up.
At the lower deck, I sat all the way to the back. The bus was approaching another bus stop and someone pressed the bell. At the last moment, I saw the guy came down. He was looking to his right and left (I assumed he was looking for me?) and I quickly lowered myself in the seat. And thank goodness he alighted. *shivers*
I don't mean to be
"perasan" cos I know I'm not even close to drop-dead-gorgeous, but why me? How sexy can you look like when you're wearing a
jubah and a long scarf? Nothing is exposed except my feet, hands and face. And it's impossible that all that is just a coincidence cos the whole episode happened within a few bus stops. If he really wanted to alight 3 bus stops away, he could have just sat at the lower deck. And even if he wanted to sit upstairs, he could always choose another seat cos like I said, most of the seats were unoccupied.
Three thing I learnt from this are
never sit on the upper deck
alone when there's not many people on the bus, always look out for
suspicious characters and lastly, learn to scream. And scream
LOUD ;)

Just got back from TKC. Went out with Tunang to MANIQ for the shoes. Initially, was thinking of getting shoes and bag but in the end, I ended up getting shoes, tudung and veil (yes, no bag!).
Chose the lining for my nikah outfit as well. We settled with white as the lining. I have a feeling the outfit will turn out GORGEOUS. Hehe. And I chose my shoes as well. It was quite fun choosing stuff but the cons is that everything looks so good! I had a hard time choosing the cut for the shoes and even worst when I was told to choose a design for it. But in the end, i chose the design on the red shoes. Pictures are below, though it won't turn out the same cos I opted for half organza half covered.

The red shoes with designs i like!

The white shoes which also caught my eyes..

Both the shoes together..

Then settled on the colours for the tudung and veil as well. Abg Ali's wife said that the colours are nice and even a makcik who came to the shop said the green I chose is sweet!
So, next meeting at MANIQ will be to take measurements for the outfit and to choose a suitable design for it. It might be sometime in mid-September. In the mean time, if any of you have pictures of ideas on what outfit would look great, would appreciate if you could tag me or send pictures to millenia76@gmail.com. You advice is greatly appreciated!! :)
