Ok finally, some time to update my blog. I'm sure you guys are eager to find out about my wedding right?

Firstly, a list of those I would like to thank..

My parents, Mr Abdul Rahim Bin Hamzah and Mdm Salmah Bte Hj Sariban, my brothers, my best friend cum bridesmaid, Haslina Bte Hamzah, my buddies, Nashitah Fikriyah, Siti Maherah and Siti Nurjannah, my MSS friends and to everyone who came and made my wedding a more meaningful one. Thank you guys!

Next, for those who are thinking of tying the knot, here's a list of services I used for my wedding. If you need any of their contact number, just drop me a tag alright? *winks*

Even Planner / Organiser: MasBoutiqueBridal
Outfits: Sophie's Bridal
Mak Andam: Kak Xana Yusof
Henna: Kak Ratna @ HennaMomma
Catering: Sinar Bahru Seafood (but seriously, I don't recommend them)
Studio: Exclusive Bridal @ Angsana Plaza, Johor Bahru

Anything I missed?

Anyway, the wedding went quite smoothly (though not as smooth as every bride would want) except for a few minor hiccups. I love every moment of the event especially when it comes to changing outfits and taking pictures! And like every bride, I cried when mum hugged me and Kak Xana had to keep saying "take a deep breadth.."

Hubby's side went very smoothly. I'm still learning who's who in his family and vice-versa.

Honeymoon was fun! We travelled by coach under Shahidah Travels. We went to Cameron Highlands for 3 nights first and then to KL for another 5 night. I love Cameron Highlands! We stayed at the Strawberry Park Resort. The food and the service was excellent. We stayed in the Tioga Suite which was the most awesome hotel room I've ever stayed in! There's a large bedroom which adjoins to a fairly big hall and there another small bedroom with a single bed at the corner. The ambience was really romantic and the hotel served us sparkling white grape juice, fruits and even strawberry dipped in chocolate! We even had a special set lunch and a candlelight dinner set for us! *sigh*

Anyway, a few days later we headed for KL. We stayed in the Legend Hotel and service was quite crappy cos we had to wait 1 and a half hours before we could check in to our room (the check in time was 2.30 and we only got our room at 4.10). And the best part was Hubby stood at the counter and noone even offered to ask if we needed any help.

On the first day, we just explored the mall which was located beside the hotel. Only on subsequent days did we got to Central Market, Masjid Jamek and Chinatown to get gifts and souveniers for all.

And finally, last update for today, video of the event is ready and photos will be received today, after Maghrib!! So TK buddies, tunggu apa lagik! Fix a date quick!! :D

This post goes out specially to my buddies, Haslina, Maherah and Nashitah, who came to help with decorating the hantarans on Saturday.

Thank you so much dearies! I couldn't have done it without you! :)

Here are some of the peek-tures we took (or rather, Nash took) during the activity!

Me and Yani, my flowergirl for the event.

The bride-to-be at work, supervised by the flowergirl (and somehow, at a glance, I look like I'm signing papers!)

After a hard time working, we make it an effort to practice the art of Camwhoring!

My bed set arrived today!! Yeyness! Did some cleaning up this morning and I've never felt my room so bare. The only things left are 2 wardrobes, 2 book shelves and a small shelf with 4 drawers.

The furniture people came around 2.45pm. The assembled my new cupboard, bed and dressing table. The side table is still in the box because there is no space to put in everything.

Now, I'm sneezing non-stop. I think it's all the dust flying around. *aaa-cchhhoooo* Oh my, I hope the runny nose disappears by end of this week. You can't afford to see a bride sneezing and sneezing on the dais right?

Another matter is I've got my kompang! We went to the person's house last Tuesday to book the package. I thought it would be very expensive after watching the video (and it is actually very expensive) but I guess he knows my situation right now and I got a very good price for all the things that he offered. Thanks Khaizan! But I won't be disclosing the package here because I promised him I won't tell anyone the price for the package I got. If you want to see it for yourself, come to my wedding then! :)

Tomorrow, Nashitah will be coming over to my aunt's place to help me with the hantarans. I haven't actually started on anything but I have a rough idea of what I want to do. But first, got to hunt for some ribbons. Hmmmm..

And this Wednesday, I'm doing a pampering session for myself. Maybe get a pedicure? Hehe. And I'm getting my henna done too! Anyone interested? The person charges $5 per hand only (well, if only the charges are the same for the bride!). Tag me if you're interested and I'll try asking the person ok?

I guess that's all for now. I got to get some rest before I get sick. One week one day and counting down!

Solemnization outfit is finally ready!! Tunang and me collected the outfit some time last Thursday at Balestier Complex, where the tailot shop was. We tried on our outfits and mine was a little big so the tailor amended it on the spot. Paid the $400 balance (ka-ching!) and left.

On Monday, had the last fitting session for our other outfits. I went to Al-Falah first to meet Kak Mas cos I wanted to borrow her sister's tiara. It was gorgeous! But I'm not too sure if it'll fit. Haahaa. Found out that all the Al-Falah crew couldn't make it to my wedding cos they're having a trip to Malaysia for an Ustaz's wedding.

Anyway, after that, headed to the studio at Eunos Crescent. We brought our solemnization outfits along cos Kak Zana wanted to match my makeup with the colour of the outfit. Tried on my songket tabur, which I will be wearing for my sanding and also the Jawa costume, which I will be wearing on Friday night. Then, I donned the whole solemnization outfit (which I think looks quite good on me! *tak tau malu :P*) and Abg Ramlan snapped some photos.

I'm still lagging in alot of things though. Hantaran haven't started yet. The dulangs still not received from Malaysia. Hope to settle all these things asap.

For kompang, I will be meeting the guy in-charge this coming Monday or Tuesday at his place. Mum can't come along cos Dad's at home and Tunang's working. Anyone want to tag along? The place is in Tampines.

Give me a tag or an sms if you're interested yeah?

OK some updates from me.

Firstly, went to Sophie's Bridal in Tampines last Saturday for my trial make-up session. Tunang couldn't make it cos he was working on the afternon shift so I went alone.

Reached there at about 2.30pm and had a brief introduction with Kak Zana, my mak andam. We sat in a room and she started 'painting' my face. The whole process took about 45 minutes at most and when I saw my face, I was impressed! For once.... I felt G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S! Hahaha!

Took some photos of myself when I reached home. My aunts who were there said I look very different and almost Arab. :) I might post one of the pictures here for you to see. Hee.

So another thing down from my list.

Wedding cake has been booked as well. I'm getting mine from Royals. Chocolate Truffle to be exact. *slurps* Don't know what Tunang will be getting for me though.

As for henna, I'm getting HennaMomma to do it for me since JewelHenna is no longer taking bookings. I think her designs are quite good. And I'm doing the henna on the 29th Nov.

3 weeks and 3 days left before my status change. AND I'm starting to get the jitters.

Great news! Our rings are finally ready!

Not sure if I have said so earlier but we bought custom-made rings for our wedding bands and we chose platinum. And each ring will have a coloured gem. We initially chose turquoise but the jeweller said turquoise stone is quite hard to find. Other options are lilac and apple green.

Anyway, we'll be collecting our rings this Sunday and after that, we'll be going to Tunang's place for breaking fast.

To A'ai, thanks so much for sharing your experiences preparing for your wedding! It helps, really! I am like soooo getting the lulur thingy from Geylang.

Ouh and I just realised I've been a bit selfish all these while. Hehe. To all other bride-to-be and groom-to-be, all the best in your preparations!! :)
